Fall Mentorship with the Katonah Yoga® Center
Join Cari for a 10 week online certification program designed for teachers and trainees who are looking to advance their studies. You'll work closely with Cari and other Katonah Yoga® teachers who have experience integrating, practicing, teaching and using this material for over 10 years, all in their own unique and powerful way.
This program includes weekly group classes and discussions, regular homework assignments and an advanced workshop series further exploring the theory and practice of Katonah Yoga® with our founder Nevine Michaan.
If you are currently a part of our 200hr Teacher Training program, we are glad to share that the participation in this program will also qualify as a means to finalize your certification.
This program counts as 40hrs towards your Katonah Yoga® Certification
Mentorship Begins September 27th
The Mentors

Brooklyn, NY
Cari Friedman
With over 25 years of teaching experience, Cari weaves together diverse traditions, lineages, and meditation practices. Her classes are informed by lived experience, intuition, compassion, and deep presence. Being a mother of two inspires and colors all of how she lives and teaches, with an approach that is challenging, nurturing, and in service of personal agency.
Cari offers daily classes in NYC, along with local and international retreats, and individual mentorships.

Pound Ridge, NY
Nevine Michaan
Nevine started a daily practice in NYC with renowned yoga instructor Allan Bateman in the 1970s and became fully immersed in what would become her life’s work. She began teaching yoga in 1980, and founded the Katonah Yoga® Center in Katonah, NY in 1984.
Nevine continues to teach in person throughout New York City, at Katonah Yoga® Collective in Bedford Hills, NY and online via Katonah Yoga Center and other platforms throughout the community.

New York, NY
Dages Juvelier Keates
Dages is a teacher, writer, and artist whose work explores embodiment as a practice of holding paradox. A senior Katonah Yoga educator, she has been teaching breath and movement practices for over twenty years internationally, with her syncretic approach profoundly shaped since 2012 by her mentor Nevine Michaan.
She is the author of Breath Magic: Portals to Presence and Radical Acts of Embodiment (2018), and is currently a candidate at Pulsion: The International Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics.

Milan, Italy
Marco Migliavacca
Marco has been teaching for nearly 20 years. Trained in Fine Arts at the Brera Academy in Milan, he blends an artistic, pantheistic, and punk view that continues to inform his practice. In 2009, he founded two studios that became a hub for yoga in Milan.
His encounter with Nevine Michaan and Katonah Yoga® opened a renewed dialogue on practice. He now teaches and leads trainings and retreats internationally.

New York, NY
Chelsea Anderson
Katonah Yoga’s resident architect, backed by 15 years of architectural practice, translating the discipline of building and design into the language of yoga. Chelsea has been practicing Katonah Yoga for eight years and teaching since 2021, approaching the body as a structure: something to inhabit, maintain, and occasionally renovate so it can return to its archetypal organization.
Her programs explore the parallels between architecture and practice: how we measure space and time, assign function and create integrity in the system we live in.

"Their independent interpretations are rich with knowledge, specific yet universal, and provide a solid foundation for my own exploration of the practice, my teaching path, and how my teaching can be supported by Katonah Yoga.®"
“I participated in Katonah Yoga’s mentorship Program in 2021. Studying with Josie, David, Dages, Kyle, and Nevine was a truly inspiring experience. I didn’t want it to end! Their independent interpretations are rich with knowledge, specific yet universal, and provide a solid foundation for my own exploration of the practice, my teaching path, and how my teaching can be supported by Katonah Yoga. Sharing this learning experience with the other mentees was extremely rewarding, and getting to know other skilled practitioners around the world is invaluable.”
